Step 1: Volunteer Opportunities

Step 2: Volunteer Application Complete our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION and send it to us using any of the following methods:
Step 3: On-line Orientation Take our ORIENTATION TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS to learn about our mission, volunteer expectations, and to learn the foundation for your volunteer experience.
Step 4: Volunteer Handbook
Review the VOLUNTEER HANDBOOK and sign the last page and send it to us using any of the following methods:
Step 5: Background Check The American Red Cross conducts background checks on all volunteers. These background checks include a national criminal database search, social security verification and a motor vehicle check. No personal results of the background check are provided to the chapter, only a notification that the applicant has passed the background check.
Submit your information on our BACKGROUND CHECK WEBSITE though a secure on-line portal. You will need to know which chapter you are applying to - American Red Cross of Greater Miami & The Keys. You should hear from us within three days of completing your background check.
