While all of their social endeavors are basically done in partnership, each has his own areas of particular interest.  Tony has been involved in many theatrical programs and productions, supporting the Waterfront Playhouse, Red Barn Theatre along with the People’s Theater of Key West.  He is an ardent supporter of the Aqua Idol fund raising events and the Corn Queen Pageant.  At one time a member of the AIDS Help Fund Raising Committee, Tony now contributes through his artwork and jewelry designs.

When Bryan is not advising architectural clients in the United Kingdom, he is chairman of Wesley House and the Tennessee Williams Theatre, a HARC Commissioner while sitting on various other boards including the Florida Keys Community Foundation and AIDS Help where his extensive architectural expertise contributed greatly to the quality and timely completion of the Poinciana Royale Housing project. They have both recently made a significant contribution to housing the new offices of Womankind.

“Bryan and Tony are two outstanding leaders who personify the Red Cross principles that have made the Keys community – and all communities – better places to live,”  said event chairs Eileen and Justin Kawaler. The award recognizes outstanding leaders who best exemplify the principles of the American Red Cross: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, universality and unity.

The Florence Spottswood Humanitarian of the Year Award is named for Florence Spottswood, founder of the American Red Cross Chapter in Key West in 1917. Her grandson, Robert Spottswood, has provided leadership since the event began in 1995.

Gala tickets are available for $150 per person. Table sponsorships are available.  For more information please contact Betsy Dietz at (305) 292-1145. All contributions benefit American Red Cross programs in the Florida Keys.
