PDF Print E-mail

Key West, FL — As families return to their school year schedules, now is a good time for older youth to learn safety skills for babysitting younger siblings. Red Cross-trained babysitters know what to do in any situation.

Designed for 11 to 15 year olds, the Babysitter’s Plus Training course can help teens care for children and infants, be a good leader and role model, make good decisions and solve problems, keep the children they baby-sit and themselves safe, and handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents.  It’s useful, pertinent information that will benefit anyone who works with infants and toddlers. Certification in First Aid is included.

The babysitting class in Key West was held on August 16. For a schedule of upcoming courses in the Florida Keys, click here.
