Step 1: Familiarize Yourself
Take our VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION to learn about the Red Cross mission, volunteer expectations, and to build the foundation for your service experience. Visit our VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES page to review some of the volunteer positions available at our chapter.

Step 2: Apply Today
Complete the VOLUNTEER APPLICATION and review our VOLUNTEER HANDBOOK. Submit your completed application and signed handbook acknowledgment sheet to the Red Cross either by:

Step 3: Now Complete a Background Check for a Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter Meet & Greet

Submit your information on our BACKGROUND CHECK WEBSITE through a secure online portal. Be sure to select the American Red Cross of Greater Miami & The Keys chapter. You should hear from us within three days of completing your background check to schedule a Meet & Greet session.

• NOTE: Background checks are required for all potential American Red Cross volunteers.These background checks include a national criminal database search, social security verification and a motor vehicle check. No personal results of the background check are provided to the chapter, only a notification that the applicant has successfully cleared the background check.
